Hi, my name Ally Damron and I’ve played soccer since I was 4 years old. I have been in love with the sport after watching my older sister play. I started my club career with San Diego Soccer Club as a center-back for 3 years. Currently, at SD Surf and Westview’s Girl’s Varsity team I play left fullback. However, my versatility allows me to play multiple positions including the 5, 6, and 11. As a left fullback I join the attack causing our team to have a numerical advantage. I believe I have a strong soccer IQ which allows me to problem solve anywhere on the field. I use my soccer IQ to find passes and make movements providing my teammates with options to keep or advance the ball. Also, my calmness on the ball lets me play under pressure. While defending, I am aggressive on 50/50 balls and am strong in 1v1 situations. As a captain, I lead and encourage my team from the back. Outside of soccer, I like playing flag football and spending time with my friends and family. Also, academics are very important to me as I have a 4.0 GPA.
