My name is Kendall Link, and I am a starting center back for San Diego Surf ECNL 2010. I have been playing with Surf’s top team for the last eight years. While I am right foot dominant, I am skilled with both feet. I am a dynamic and versatile player with center back as my primary position. I am known for my aggressive and well timed offensive and defensive heading ability, as well as my composed and accurate ball distribution while playing out of the back. I also possess top speed to run down opponents using a strong physical presence combined with finesse to properly defend and accurately make the correct connections, enabling me to make well-timed tackles in 1v1 situations. I am rated by Prep Soccer as a standout and have been highlighted for heading ability, precision defending and positional awareness. My speed is currently the highest across all age groups for San Diego Surf Soccer at 18.9 mph.
Off the field, I highly value academics, and I currently have a 4.29 GPA while being enrolled in honors and AP classes. In addition, I play both varsity soccer and varsity flag football for my high school team. I also enjoy swimming, skiing, surfing and hanging out with friends and family.
