Hello, my name is Kenley Dean. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old as my dream has always been to compete at the highest level. I started my soccer career with Real Colorado and then moved to Nevada where I played for Las Vegas Surf. I am currently a center back for San Diego Surf. I am known for my exceptional soccer IQ, while consistently staying one step ahead of the game. I excel at reading plays before they develop, distributing the ball foward and building out of the back with confidence. I am a very physical defender and am not afraid to go into hard tackles, challenge for every ball and put my body on the line on order to stop the oppostiton.
Although soccer is a huge part of my life, academics have always been a top priority and something I take very seriously in order to set myself up for long term success. This upcoming year, I will be attending the Auxano Surf Academy paired with the YSC Academy in order to seamlessly blend my academics with my future soccer goals.
I am well known for my sense of humor, outgoing personality and the ability to bring positive energy to any team I'm apart of. I enjoy spending time with my older sister Addison who plays on the 2009 San Diego Surf ECNL team. In my free time I like to travel with my family, hangout with friends at the beach and play with my two golden doodles.
